Give the protection to cow by Amma Trust
Let us analyse how and why a cow ends up in slaughter houses. In India's subsistence farming economy, when a yielding cow enters into its dry period, it becomes no more practicable for the poor peasant to look after it till the next lactation starts. He sells it off to reduce his burden and to meet his immediate expense of buying a replacement. These cows are bought by agents of organized slaughter business and end up on the culinary items of never satiable beings. Had the poor peasant had an alternate avenue, he would never have sold off his cow, which he reveres as the mother.
